This year Cherry Willingham Primary Academy hosted us for National Numeracy Day.
It was great to see so many parents and children attend, all ready to try out our pizza conveyor belt. Parents and their children followed our step by step pizza making process using weighing and measuring skills and it was great to hear lots of maths related conversations!
Parents and children engaged in conversations about fractions, using different sized spoons to measure their ingredients. Conversations about how to read scales accurately also took place.
By the end of the conveyor belt, children had made their very own margarita pizza that they could take away and bake at home. The event was a great success!
